Broken Ladders: The Myth of Meritocracy for Women of Colour in the Workplace - Fawcett Society

Latest research from Fawcett Society and the Runnymede Trust revealed that institutional racism is widespread across industries and organisations -- 75% of women of colour in the UK have experienced racism at work. The findings showed that women are being forced to conform, whether that be through hairstyles, changing their name, changing the language or words that they use. Unequal access to opportunities and discrimination is also having a profound impact on women's wellbeing, with 39% of women of colour stating that their wellbeing had been impacted by a lack of progression.
